Lake Robinson could easily be called "Lake Lockjaw" on Saturday.  Those bass were just plain shutdown!  A combination of post-frontal, high pressure conditions and the lack of a warm water discharge gave those bass a classic case of lockjaw.  Our results and those of the other club fishing there show just how tough fishing was.  Very few bites and not many bass caught made for a frustrating day.  It was a combination of unpredictable obstacles.  Lake Robinson has been producing some fun fishing trips over the last couple of years, but Saturday wasn't fun at all.  Lucky casts and execution were the key.  Congrats to Earnie for his victory while fishing solo.  Thank God that this was a team tournament , or results would have been a lot different.  Only 4 members managed to boat any keepers.  At halftime, the points totals are getting interesting.  Darrell keeps trying to run away with it.  William just keeps doing what he has to do.  Gene keeps nipping away, and the next 3 on the list are dead even.  Next up is Lake Murray on 11 Feb.  Murray can be tough !  Hopefully, we can all catch some fish, and it will be seen if anybody can stop Gene's domination on Lake Murray.
