Lake Murray, 13 Nov 11

Junk Fishing 101-- Junk fishing seems to be the story for Lake Murray.  Guys reported catching their fish on crankbaits, shakey heads, floating worms, t-rigs, and buzzbaits.  Looks like the bass were both super shallow and deep.  Bass were caught all over the lake too.  Luck seemed to play a huge part in this tournament.  Lucky casts to lucky spots in a lucky area.  Streaks are also coming into the picture.  William's streak of winning finally came to an end; however, he still managed 3 nice bass behind Gene.  Darrell just continues his streak of finding and catching bass.  He managed the only limit of the tournament and is putting himself in a good position o repeat as Angler of the Year.  Gene continues to place high and positions himself for his normal Spring run.  Tom still manages to find them and makes the point race interesting.  Jim finally breaks out of his slump and catches a really nice 5.5 lb. bass.  This was his 1st ever progressive big fish.  I hope this is just the start!  Dale, Art, and David start to make their runs and are hanging in their.  Watch out for Brian and Earnie!  They are both overdue to bang a good sack.  Things are getting interesting as we head into the cold months.  Wateree is always a challenge.  Let's see what happens!
