Lugoff Bassmasters Tournamnet Report: 19 September 2009, Lake Murray
The Lugoff Bassmasters faced another tough fishing day 19 Sep on Lake Murray. It seems like fishing has been really slow since June. Bites and keepers were very hard to come by all day long. Only 1 limit was weighed in for the tournament. Joe Akshar lapped the field twice with a fantastic limit of 12.06 lbs and big fish weighing 4.84 lbs. Jim Timmerberg managed 2nd place and Gene Gibbs took 3rd. Congratulations to Joe for catching a great sack in spite of the tough conditions! Hopefully, fishing will start to heat up as the weather and water temps start to cool down. Next up for LBM is the SC BASS Federation Six Man tournament on Lake Murray on 9 and 10 October.
