Lugoff Bassmasters Tournament Report: Cooper River, 10 Jan 09
The sixth tournament of the
season is over for the Lugoff Bassmasters I'm sure all members are
saying, thank God! Calling it a tough day doesn't even come close to
describing just how bad it was. We had some winners, but the real
winner was the Cooper River. Final results show that only 10 bass were
caught for a whopping total of just over 13 lbs. Unreal! Only
5 members managed to catch at least 1 keeper and no limits were weighed
in. Our guys can catch fish. Something really shut these fish
down, as most members reported only a few bites for the day. Tide,
wind, full moon. Who knows what caused the lockjaw, but those fish
weren't biting! Check out the
tournament results page for the full results.
Parting bites
1.
Darrell Munn's streak of placing in the money ends at an impressive five in a
row.
2. Dale Goff wins his 3rd tournament of the new season and shows why he
was Angler of the Year for 2007 and 2008. Can he make it 3 in a row?
3. A
check of the points standings shows that this one is far from over. It's going
to be a battle of big bags in the Spring tournaments sandwiched between
tournaments on Wylie in February and Murray in June. The fat lady hasn't even
started to warm up!
